With movies like Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel coming into theaters, I start to think maybe 2019 isn’t all that bad.

Besides, each year there has been both good and bad movies for each year.

But here I have written all upcoming movies for the rest of 2019, eliminating movies like Aquaman and Alita: Battle Angel, if you haven’t already watched them, you should.

This Month’s Movies (March) 

Us (March 22, 2019) → Mystery/Thriller

Jordan Peele, director of award-winning, Get Out, has created a brand new story of Us where the main character Adelaide Wilson is haunted by her past and fights for survival with four masked people who resemble her own family members.  

Dumbo (March 29, 2019) → Fantasy/Adventure

Live action remake based off the original Disney Dumbo movie in 1941. Maintaining the iconic story about the circus elephant who was able to fly and captivate the audience with another story of Disney magic. 

April

Shazam! (April 5, 2019) → Fantasy/Sci-fi

This upcoming DC film follows the story on Billy Baston, a 14-year-old, who has the power to turn into an adult superhero who must battle the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Pet Sematary (April 5, 2019) → Thriller/Horror

Based on Stephen King’s horror novel Pet Sematary, a family goes out camping when they notice something odd about the woods. They discover that the dead were somehow able to come back to life.

Hellboy (April 12, 2019) → Fantasy/Sci-fi

Based on the comics, Hellboy is a supernatural being where he is stuck between the separate realms of the Human World and Hell, where he must battle the ancient sorcerer to escape.

Missing Link (April 12, 2019) → Fantasy/Adventure

This story is a tale about an 8-foot tall creature named Mr. Link who once to find his ancestors. Through this adventure, the audience will see him progress through the journey.

Avengers: Endgame (April 26, 2019) → Fantasy/Sci-fi

After leaving millions on a cliff hanger for a year, Marvel finally finishes off the story with the second part Endgame where the remaining, original Avengers will defeat Thanos once and for all… or will they?

Ugly Dolls (May 3, 2019) → Fantasy/Adventure

Where do the mistaken, ugly dolls go when made in factories? Well, in this story, follow as the main characters go through an adventure to discover who they truly are and what it means to be perfect.

POKÉMON Detective Pikachu (May 10, 2019) → Fantasy/Mystery

Aladdin (May 24, 2019) → Fantasy/Romance

Live action remake based off the original Disney Aladdin movie in 1992 now comes to you with a brand new cast and the legendary songs. Songs such as “A Whole a World” and more, will continue the iconic story of Aladdin making his way into royalty and finding both love and friendship that he will never forget. 

Ad Astra (May 24, 2019) → Drama/Fantasy

Godzilla: King of the Monsters (May 31, 2019) → Sci-fi/Adventure

The famous creature of Godzilla returns to the theater with a brand new story to tell. Where he faces his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah in order to restore the balance of humanity.

Rocketman (May 31, 2019) → Biography/Fantasy

Rocketman is a story about the famous Sir Elton John’s life on how he became the person he is today. Through fun musicals and drama to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Dark Phoenix (June 7, 2019) → Sci-fi/Action

X-Men returns with a brand new origin story on Jean had become the Dark Pheonix. Now the X-Men will face one of their greatest adversaries, one of their own, Jean Grey, as she becomes more powerful they have ever expected. 

The Secret Life of Pets 2 (June 7, 2019) → Adventure/Comedy

Men in Black: International (June 14, 2019) → Fantasy/Sci-fi

Being the third sequel in Pixar’s blockbuster film now brings the four adventure to these toys. Where Woody and the gang happen to encounter a few amusement park toys.

Spider-Man: Far From Home (July 5, 2019) → Fantasy/Sci-fi

Peter Parker and the rest of his classmates take a trip to Europe. While expecting to enjoy his trip on vacation, it’s interrupting by Nick Fury who tells him of the dangers he must face. Battling the evil Mysterio who happens to want to destroy Earth.

Lion King (July 19, 2019) → Drama/Adventure

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (July 26, 2019) → Drama/Thriller

August

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (August 2, 2019) → Mystery/Action

The New Mutants (August 2, 2019) → Fantasy/Action

It: Chapter Two (September 6, 2019) → Mystery/Horror

Joker (October 4, 2019) → Fantasy/Crime

Zombieland: Double Tap (October 11, 2019) → Action/Adventure

Frozen 2 (November 22, 2019) → Drama Fantasy

December

Star Wars: Episode IX (December 20, 2019) → Fantasy/Sci-fi

The iconic epic space series since the ’70s now returns with Princess Leia’s story on the whole drama and action of the film.
