Cinematic Gems: TOP 10 Iconic Jewelry in Film + Where To Buy Them

The significance of jewelry in movies is portrayed in each of these scenes, whether it’s being used as a symbol of power, wealth, romance, or transformation.

Now you can also wear them! But be sure to do your own research on these companies and brands if you do end up purchasing them!

Howl’s Moving Castle (2004)

Howl’s Jewels – One of Studio Ghibli’s most beloved films is Howl’s Moving Castle. In this film, fans adore Howl, but now you can also wear his jewelry set too, from his iconic blue pendant, emerald earrings, and silver ring.

Where To Buy: I recommend checking out Vivamacity or Rocklove for high quality inspired jewelry from this film. These run about $90 to $220 depending on what piece you are interested in.

Of course, there are a lot more affordable options on Etsy or eBay, but if you plan to wear them for a long term, then investing money on quality jewelry will last longer.

Titanic (1997)

Rose’s Heart of the Ocean – If Titanic is known for anything, it must be the iconic Heart of the Ocean jewel. As it first made its appearance in the 1997 film, everyone was obsessed with Rose’s blue diamond necklace.

Where To Buy: It is a bit difficult to find a good quality version of this necklace, but I was able to find many similar pieces on Amazon and Etsy, etc for about $19 to $38.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2000s)

The One Ring – Featured in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, this gold ring, inscribed with an Elvish inscription, serves as a central plot element, symbolizing power and corruption.

Where To Buy: So far I found Tungsten Affinity (runs about $119) to be the closest resembling to the one in the film, but honestly there are many more cheaper alternatives on Amazon, eBay that would be make a great collectable item.

Pretty Woman (1990)

Vivian’s Ruby and Diamond Necklace from Pretty Woman – Julia Roberts’ character, Vivian Ward, wears a stunning ruby and diamond necklace in the film Pretty Woman, symbolizing transformation and newfound confidence. The simple and feminine design makes this jewel so much more elegant.

Where To Buy: Since this necklace was actually custom made for the film, I believe the real necklace Julia Roberts wore is actually going for auction. However, there are also great alternatives I found on eBay from user Karianne’s Secret for $170.49. But also be sure to check out other users too.

How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)

Andie’s Yellow Diamond Necklace – In “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” (2003), the yellow diamond necklace is a central element in the romantic comedy’s plot. The necklace becomes a symbol of both Andie’s deceptive intentions and the budding romance between her and Benjamin.

Where To Buy: So far for Andie’s yellow necklace I found the two closest options to be on Etsy for $148.85 and on Silverandgold which is on sale for $50 right now.

Moulin Rouge! (2001)

Satine’s Diamond Brooch – Satine, played by Nicole Kidman, wears a dazzling diamond brooch that features prominently in the film’s narrative. The brooch represents Satine’s aspiration for a better life beyond the confines of the Moulin Rouge and her desire for love and freedom.

Where To Buy: Unfortunately, Satine’s diamond brooch was also another custom made piece for the film, which is actually a total of 134 karats and 1,308 diamonds. The cost today would be around $1 million.

So if you’re still interested in finding a similar piece, be sure to check out your local antique and vintage shops like LangAntiques. If you’re lucky, you can bargain for a much affordable price too!

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

Holly Golightly’s Pearl Necklace – In Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Audrey Hepburn’s character, Holly Golightly, is often adorned with glamorous jewelry, particularly her pearl necklace, epitomizing elegance and sophistication.

Where To Buy: Kenneth Jay Lane actually sells an closely inspired piece based on the film for $535. But luckily there are also more affordable options found on Amazon and eBay for less than $200.

Cleopatra (1963)

The Snake Bracelet from Cleopatra – Elizabeth Taylor’s portrayal of Cleopatra featured extravagant jewelry, including a snake bracelet, reflecting the character’s power, seduction, and cunning.

Where To Buy: I actually found lots of snake inspired bracelets at my local Party/Halloween stores. But there are also great options on eBay for $39.99 and this one for $9.99.

Pirates of the Caribbean series (2000s)

Elizabeth Swann’s Gold Medallion  – In the Pirates of the Caribbean series, the gold medalllion could be considered a kind of jewelry, with its mysterious and coveted nature, embodying freedom and adventure on the high seas.

Where To Buy: So far the best ways to buy this necklace has been on Etsy and they run from either $18 to $119 depending if you buy them custom made or not.

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)

Lorelei’s Tiara – In Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Marilyn Monroe’s character, Lorelei Lee, wears a stunning diamond tiara in this classic film, symbolizing luxury and allure.

Where To Buy: Weirdly enough I could not find much information about Lorelei’s tiara, but so far from looking online I found that Wedding Beauty Studio for about $109 and Amazon for $9.30 were the closest resembling pieces to the original.

Thank you so much for reading! Comment down below your favorite movie jewelry piece or anything that I may have missed and want me to add to the list.
